Jean batten
Jean batten was born in rotorua in 1909 and died in 1983 in a hotel alone by a dog bite when she was 73.
Jean batten had two brothers her dad was a dentist.But Elen her mother was the most important to her. jean battens mum Elen said that women can do anything.Her parents got divorced Jean batten wanted to be famous pilot at eighteen.Jean batten sold her piano so her and her mother could travel to england to learn how to fly.Jean batten's brothers stayed with her dad when they got divorced.
At twenty one she planned to fly to england to New zealand.When jean batten was eighteen charles lindbergh flew solo from new york across the atlantic for the first time and bet amy johnson record from that moment all she wanted is to be famous pilot and set new records.
