Amp show Christmas tree (made out of drift wood)

                                                Driftwood sculptures

Since rumbustification is cancelled, we have been working on our own school AMP show so we have been able to make our own things. Tane Mahutaś ideas for the AMP show are; drift wood sculptures, scare crows, origami and pressed flowers.  For the last few days Ruby and I have been making an xmas tree made out of drift wood. We have also put ornaments to the xmas tree to look more attractive and a shell with yellow beeds on it to look like a star!  Maybe you could make something like this.
Enjoy this photo of our xmas tree!

Enlarging shapes by 2 and 3 factors

This photo above is enlarged by three
factors. The small ones are the originals, the big ones are the ones that are enlarged.

This photo above is enlarged by two factors thats why there is more shapes because its more easier than the enlarged by 3.

Mine craft mystery box!

This Monday my friend Ruby and I entered a Minecraft mystery box challenge. We had only 90 minutes to build (it was a pretty stressful 90minutes as well. Elizabeth set a theme for the challenge. The challenge was a theme park ride!

Ruby and I made a Halloween themed ride, we called it Friday Frights! It's meant to be scary so we put all sorts of scary items like; jacker lanterns, webs, a head cutter, jacker lanterns and all sorts! We made a jacker-lantern tunnel which took the longest then the base of our ride took the second longest! The total time it took was 2 hours (quite a long time)

We made the design on a Macbook and there were different keyboard letters to move! This was an amazing experience I definitely recommend this challenge to other people!

Enjoy this video of our design 😁

We went to the beach for a field trip and learnt about the sand dunes and what lives in them. We also went to Travis Wetlands to learn about  the native birds and the animals in the water!

Facts:

  • Christchurch was 90%  wetlands but now its  2%
  • their are more than 2,000 species of animals in the wetlands
